This close to opaque filter prevents the entry of all of visible light up to 720nm, this enables recording of subject matter and scenes that will are not visible beneath regular conditions.
As a result of the nature of infrared photography, the filter factor is remarkably variable and relies mostly upon the ISO sensitivity utilized and lighting conditions.
This Hoya 46mm R72 Infrared Filter is made using high-quality optical glass which is set in an aluminum filter ring to supply improved rigidity and the avoidance of filter jamming.
